Scheduled Network outage for UPS install
IT&S and Facilities has identified Sun May 27 from 7am to 1pm as a suitable date to install the new UPS. This date should allow enough time for communication of the event to the campus and for any individual to make any necessary adjustments to their schedule.
During the shutdown period, everything computer related on campus that makes use of the network would be impacted; this includes email, blackberry server, student email, all web sites, colleague, access to security cameras, networked building control systems, wireless, internet access, moodle, sharepoint, all network drives, printing, and similar systems. Office and lab PCs will be unable to be logged into. Classroom PCs will have no internet/network access.
We intend to have a simple informational web page available on that day to the outside world indicating that the university’s web page, email, moodle, and other services are temporarily unavailable until 1pm due to an upgrade in the computer center.
